The KPLU Advisors
KPLU is owned by and licensed to Pacific Lutheran University and is part of the division of Development and University Relations.

The KPLU Community Advisory Council follows the passing of the Public Telecommunications Financing Act of 1978, which mandates the establishment of a council broadly representative of the communities served by Public Radio.

Comprised of volunteers from the community, the KPLU Advisors periodically reviews the programming goals and service functions of KPLU. It advises the station's management if the programming and other policies of the station are meeting the specialized educational and cultural needs of the communities it serves. The council can make recommendations to the station based upon what it has learned.

Council meetings are held several times per year on The station manager and several staff members attend the meetings along with the Council members.

KPLU Community Advisory Council meetings are open to the public. Please contact Sandy Dye at 253-535-8732 for more information.
